About the role

The Principal Engineer role gives the successful candidate the opportunity of championing the design of path-breaking information security products that address key gaps in security for the Internet of Things. Xage’s product is a unique application of blockchain technology, which leverages the decentralization properties to put adversaries in a position of disadvantage. The role is pivotal to delivering thought leadership, reliability of the product and robustness of its design and architecture.

About you

  • Extensive experience with scalable high-performance distributed databases and/or distributed systems including orchestration, monitoring, and high availability
  • Beneficial: Experience in blockchain technologies, distributed applications and security protocols
  • Beneficial: Experience with cryptographic systems
  • Scaled the products and technologies of a startup from early on, proven experience of building and shipping security products from prototype to production
  • Track record of leading technical directions, architecture and implementation
  • Skilled communicator both to technologists as well as business stakeholders
  • Outstanding track record of innovation and success


  • Drive Xage’s architectural vision and implementation, decentralized application designs, and security protocols
  • Closely collaborate and partner with the engineering team members
  • Work closely with the product management team, and drive the technology & architectural aspects of the product
  • Align the product with industry security standards, compliance requirements and certifications for the target verticals
  • Evaluate new security protocols & technologies, and understand how to integrate the same into the product
