Xage Joins the EdgeX Foundry to bring IoT Security to the Industrial Edge

By January 30, 2018 No Comments

Xage has joined the EdgeX Foundry, an open source project building a common framework for IoT computing.

The growth in intelligent distributed applications for transportation, utilities, energy, and manufacturing is driving the need for an industrial edge services platform. Xage enables industrial operators to deliver converged security services protecting access and information exchange in multi-vendor, multi-application environments.

“We’re entering a new era of industry powered by distributed intelligence” said Xage’s Co-Founder and VP of Product, Roman Arutyunov. “EdgeX and Xage are aligned in our objectives to build a converged and secure solution, spanning multiple vendors, devices, and applications for industrial IoT. Whole Industries are being transformed, and Xage joining the EdgeX Foundry further advances the new generation of efficient and secure Industrial edge operations.”

“The Industrial Internet of Things is surging this year and security is the foundation that enables this innovation,” said Philip DesAutels, PhD, Senior Director of IoT for The Linux Foundation. “We welcome Xage to our growing ecosystem and look forward to their expertise in helping us create reliable and secure solutions for IIoT.”

The Xage Security Suite creates an adaptive any-to-any blockchain-secured IIoT communication fabric for cooperation, management and data exchange among devices, applications and people. The Xage Security Suite is available now on the EdgeX platform and on Dell IoT Gateways.
