Xage and Armis Partner to Help Operations Cyber-Harden and Comply with NIST Cybersecurity Framework

By November 7, 2022 No Comments

By Amit Pawar, VP of Consulting & Services

Xage, the zero trust real-world security company, and Armis, the leading unified asset visibility and security platform provider, have formed a new partnership. The two companies are joining forces to fuse advanced, defense-in-depth preventative capabilities of Xage Fabric with detection and response capabilities of Armis platform to protect industrial operations and critical infrastructure.

Xage and Armis are uniquely poised to help organizations comply with evolving cybersecurity guidelines, including from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the MITRE ATT&CK for ICS Framework. NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and its five distinct functions (Identify, Detect, Protect, Respond, and Recover) outline a comprehensive approach to securing critical infrastructure, while the MITRE framework provides concrete steps for security managers to assess and improve their security controls for industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.

The complementary capabilities from Xage and Armis address these frameworks head-on. The first-of-its-kind partnership is timely; amidst a heightened threat landscape, it is no longer sufficient for companies, particularly critical infrastructure, to rely only on detection and response strategies. Preventative, zero trust-based security measures are now necessary as well. As such, the two companies are providing unique technology mapping that covers the totality of a customer’s cybersecurity needs.

Ultimately, as regulations evolve in response to new attack vectors, operations need a way to quickly and seamlessly adopt new and relevant recommendations. Together, Xage and Armis are ensuring that critical infrastructure organizations can quickly and seamlessly implement system-wide compliance with NIST frameworks and other similar requirements.

Going forward, Xage and Armis will collaborate on a series of long-term go-to-market activities. In fact, both companies will both be attending this year’s API Cybersecurity Conference for the Oil and Natural Gas Industry on November 8-9. Interested participants can register for this year’s event here
