About the Role
Xage is looking for a Federal Sales Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and cybersecurity, with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) in distributed, highly constrained environments, particularly experience of working in large federal projects.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical presentation, communication, and influencing skills required to collaborate effectively with clients, leaders, and security practitioners. In this role, you will drive customer value by delivering high-quality implementations of Xage’s cybersecurity solutions.

Base Salary: $130-170K in addition to eligible for additional variable compensation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver detailed technical and business proposals demonstrating how Xage solves complex customer challenges, including solution architecture, and use case descriptions.
- Design tailored technical solutions that fulfill specific customer requirements and use cases using a mix of internal software and strategic 3rd-party integrations.
- Collaborate with key government stakeholders to develop program and project schedules delivering key capabilities to the customer.
- Solve complex technical challenges proactively alongside customers to move projects seamlessly from initial definition through testing and operational deployment.
- Create and deliver awe-inspiring product demos.
- Establish strong partner relationships through extensive partner contacts.
- Provide the product development team with concise, well-qualified customer feedback to aid in the development of new features.
- Identify functional gaps in products and partner with internal R&D, Product Management, and Engineering to resolve them.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or another technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience developing cybersecurity solutions, with a deep focus on IAM/PAM, ICS environments, and network security.
- Strong familiarity with DoD, SBIR, and federal acquisition processes.
- Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting, problem solving, and problem resolution.
- Hands-on expertise with virtual machines, network virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker).
Additional Requirements:
- Experience working directly in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Linux system administration & troubleshooting experience.
- Self-motivated and results focused; ability to strengthen the team and its mission.
- Ability to travel based on the needs of the business.
- Comfortable in teaching and coaching technical subjects.
