About the Role
Xage is looking for a Sr. Customer Success Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and cybersecurity, with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) in distributed, highly constrained environments, particularly experience of working in large federal projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in creating, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions and services, emphasizing cyber-physical systems and environments, network security design, and deployment. Additionally, they should have expertise in cybersecurity standards and frameworks. This role is responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS), achieving quarterly goals for product adoption, and supporting customer retention and expansion efforts.
Strong technical presentation, communication and influencing skills are required to collaborate with clients, leaders, and security practitioners. In this role you are responsible for delivering client value through quality deliverables of Xage’s cybersecurity solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as the primary subject matter expert, delivering customized integrations and workflows aligned with Zero Trust principles, cyber-physical system best practices, and federal mission objectives.
- Technical Escalation Management: Own technical escalations as the key liaison, coordinating with Engineering and Support teams to ensure rapid resolution and minimal operational disruption.
- Enablement & Training: Deliver technical coaching and training to empower customers to optimize their Xage Security solutions.
- Product Advocacy: Champion the customer voice internally, translating common challenges and requirements into actionable product roadmap improvements.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to design cross-domain solutions (IT/OT convergence) that satisfy rigorous standards, including NIST RMF, CMMC, and DoD mandates.
- Growth & Partnerships: Partner with Sales to identify and address product gaps, leveraging R&D and strategic partnerships to drive organic account growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing cybersecurity solutions, with deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- 3+ years in network security design/deployment (e.g., zoning, segmentation, isolation) within cloud, on-prem, or industrial environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal security standards, including NIST SP 800 series, Risk Management Framework (RMF), CMMC, and DoD Manuals.
- Strong technical communication skills with a proven ability to articulate complex security concepts to executive stakeholders.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel based on the needs of the business. Up to 25%
- Experience working directly in GovCloud is a plus.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (Shell/Bash/Python/C++).
- Experience with certification requirements (e.g., FIPS, STIG).
- Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, VMs).
- Self-motivated and results focused; ability to strengthen the team and its mission.
- Credibility in one or more of the following domains is preferred: US DoD, Energy, Utilities, Logistics and Warehousing, Supply Chain, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Enterprise IT/Cybersecurity.
- Comfortable in teaching and coaching technical subjects.
- Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certifications a plus.
