About the Role

Xage is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to help define and design the next generation of enterprise security experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in complex product domains, enjoys turning technical workflows into clear user experiences, and wants to work on software that protects real-world operations.

As a Sr. UX/UI Designer, you will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Security experts to design intuitive, trustworthy, and scalable experiences across the Xage platform. You will own the UX/UI design work from discovery through delivery, including problem framing, workflow mapping, interaction design, prototyping, usability validation, and production-ready design specifications.

You will help simplify high-stakes workflows such as privileged access, secure remote access, identity-based policy, microsegmentation, approvals, session monitoring, credential management, discovery, reporting, and operational administration. The right candidate can balance enterprise-grade depth with product simplicity, and can design for both technical administrators and operational users who need secure access without unnecessary friction.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end product design for major areas of the Xage platform, from early discovery through shipped product experiences.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity, identity, access, and operational workflows into clear, usable, and scalable product experiences.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to gain a deep understanding of user problems, product design requirements, workflow architecture, and interaction models.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, design specifications, interaction documentation, and create mock data to enable working prototypes.
  • Design experiences for enterprise administrators, security teams, vendors, and other users working in complex environments.
  • Conduct or support customer research, usability testing, field discovery, and design validation with customers, prospects, internal experts, and go-to-market teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Xage customers, including their security requirements, operational constraints, compliance needs, and day-to-day workflows.
  • Hands-on collaboration with Engineering to ensure design intent is delivered with high quality, usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility. Be customer zero.
  • Contribute to Xage’s design system, product information architecture, interaction patterns, and UX quality standards.
  • Be hands-on with customers and collaborate with the Customer Success team by joining customer meetings, collecting customer feedback, sharing usability findings, and making thoughtful design trade-off decisions that consider business priorities.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly to executives, product leaders, engineers, customer-facing teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Raise the bar for product craft, visual clarity, tasteful design, workflow quality, product usability, and user experience for core features across the platform.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, cybersecurity, infrastructure, identity, IT operations, developer tools, or similarly complex technical products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including complex workflows, enterprise UX, systems thinking, and shipped product outcomes.
  • Ability to simplify technically complex workflows without removing necessary enterprise control, precision, or configurability.
  • Strong interaction design skills, including workflow modeling, information architecture, admin experience design, forms, tables, dashboards, policy builders, and configuration-heavy interfaces.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers in an agile product development environment.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous problems, incomplete information, technical constraints, and evolving product strategy.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and translate them into usable product experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions in terms of user needs, product goals, business context, and technical feasibility.
  • Experience using modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Strong attention to detail in layout, hierarchy, interaction states, edge cases, accessibility, and production handoff.
  • Ability to work independently, drive design work forward, and proactively align stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a startup or growth-stage environment where priorities evolve quickly.

Extra Credit If You Have

  • Experience designing for cybersecurity, identity and access management, privileged access management, Zero Trust, AI security, or cloud infrastructure
  • Experience designing admin consoles, policy engines, workflow builders, audit/reporting experiences, security dashboards, or access review workflows.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security concepts such as RBAC, least privilege, privileged accounts, MFA, session recording, credential vaulting, approvals, device access, segmentation, or compliance reporting.
  • Background in or exposure to design systems and component libraries
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Experience conducting generative and evaluative research independently
